How do we protect personal data?

Plaza Foods takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access and unauthorized modification of data.

We do this, among other things, by ensuring that our buildings are not accessible to unauthorized persons and also securing our automation systems against attacks from outside and against data leaks. Agreements have been made within Plaza Foods about which employees may use which data and for what purpose.

What personal data do we process?

Plaza Foods processes various personal data, a distinction is made for each user category to what data is processed. Examples of processed personal data are:  

• company name;

• name;

• date of birth;

• correspondence address;

• e-mail address;

• (mobile) telephone and fax number;

• bank account number and payment history;

Are we allowed to process your personal data just like that?

We only process personal data as far as that is permitted. We only process your personal data when:

• you have given permission for this;

• this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;  

How long do we keep your personal data?

We do not store your personal data longer than necessary. We delete most of your personal data when our collaboration ends. We store some administrative data, such as financial records, for a period of 7 years as this is required by law.

With whom do we share your personal data?

Sometimes we pass on your personal data (parts of) to third parties. For example, it may happen that we call in other experts, such as the Tax Authorities or an accountant. We only do this with your permission and we only provide them with the personal data that is necessary to carry out their duties. What do we do with a data breach? Examples of a data breach:

• a lost USB stick with personal data

• a stolen laptop, if personal data is stored there

• a data file that has been hacked

What rights do you have?

Because we process your personal data, you have various rights. For example, you have the right to withdraw your consent when we process your data based on your permission. You also have the right to make certain requests to us. For example, you can request that we provide you with the personal information that we have of you, correct it or ask for it to be deleted. You can also object to the fact that we process your data. If you wish to exercise your rights, please contact the board of directors.

When you apply for a job with us, we process, in addition to your contact details, information about your motivation, training and employment history. We use this information when selecting a suitable candidate for our vacancies. We collect this personal data through personal contact with you and other sources that you make available to us, such as a CV and application letter sent by you. We will delete your data 4 weeks after the application procedure has been completed, unless you give us permission to keep your data longer. We delete data that we receive in the context of an open application after one year.

This privacy statement can be supplemented or changed by us. We therefore recommend that everyone to whom this statement applies visits this website on a regular basis. The version number and issue date are listed in the header.
